Kennesaw State University, located in the northern Atlanta metropolitan area, operates across two campuses in Kennesaw and Marietta, Georgia. The public institution began as a junior college in 1963 and expanded into a comprehensive university following several mergers, most notably with Southern Polytechnic State University in 2015.
