Sacramento City College, located in the Land Park neighborhood of California's capital city, serves as one of the oldest community colleges in the state since its founding in 1916. The 75-acre urban campus features modern classroom facilities alongside historic Spanish Revival architecture, including the landmark Rodda Hall. As an open-access institution within the Los Ranchos Community College District, SCC offers more than 200 degree and certificate programs, with particularly strong offerings in nursing, allied health programs, and aeronautics. The campus includes a regional public training center for law enforcement and emergency first responders, while also housing technical facilities for its automotive and railroad operations programs. Students can access the campus via light rail transportation, with a dedicated station connecting the college to downtown Sacramento.
