Located in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, approximately 45 miles southeast of Little Rock, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) is a historically Black university established in 1873 as Branch Normal College. The 327-acre campus features a mix of historic and modern buildings, with the majority of academic facilities centered around the L.A. Davis Student Union. UAPB operates as a public land-grant institution, offering undergraduate and graduate programs with particular strengths in agriculture, aquaculture and fisheries, and industrial technology. The university maintains several student residence halls and apartments for on-campus living, and as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), UAPB competes in NCAA Division I athletics, with football and basketball serving as the flagship sports programs.
