The University of Montevallo, established in 1896, is Alabama's only public liberal arts college, offering a distinctive educational experience rooted in interdisciplinary learning. Located in the historic city of Montevallo, within an hour's drive of Birmingham, the institution enjoys a serene campus noted for its Neo-classical architecture and designated as a National Historic District.
