Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, founded in 1830, is a private, Jesuit liberal arts college, making it the third oldest Jesuit college in the United States and the fifth oldest Catholic college in the country. Positioned on a 381-acre campus adorned with historic architectural structures, the institution provides a picturesque Southern setting amid the oak-lined avenues within a city carrying a rich cultural history. The college is roughly a one-hour drive from Pensacola, Florida, and approximately two and a half hours from New Orleans, Louisiana. Spring Hill College offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, with notable strength in health sciences, business, and the liberal arts. It is relatively selective in its admissions process. On-campus housing is available, and the majority of the student body resides in college facilities. While the college's athletic programs are not a primary highlight, they compete in the NCAA Division II as the Spring Hill Badgers.
