Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) is a public institution established in 1967 and is situated in a suburban locale of Montgomery, Alabama, just minutes away from the state capital. The university is characterized by a modern campus that provides on-campus housing options for students. AUM offers a diverse range of academic programs, with particular emphasis on the College of Business, College of Education, and Nursing program. These academic disciplines reflect some of the more popular majors at the university. With an admissions process that is moderately selective, the university attracts a variety of applicants each academic cycle. While AUM does not have a high profile athletic reputation, it maintains several sports teams known as the Warhawks, with participation in the NCAA Division II reflecting its collegiate competitive spirit.
