Hi everyone, my family is on a tight budget, and I'm considering Texas Tech University. I need to know if it's affordable for low-income families. Does Texas Tech offer good financial aid packages, and are there any particular scholarships I should look into?

A great atmosphere and a safe place to send your child. The school is so large that they do not support students well.
Great reputation for alumni connections. Exceptional science professors. The classes are much more challenging than other schools. The drinking scene is very important here, too much for some. Great opportunities to join clubs and be involved. Sometimes miss the big school football environment. So far, my student is happy with his choice. If going for athletics, the football team has 150 players, baseball 65...very large rosters.
For Harrisburg University, I had my ups and downs with the school, but the negatives outweighed the positives. The area around the school: There are many homeless and loiters around, which is concerning. Also, the Strawberry Square plaza isn't the best, and stores close early. Housing application process: It was tedious because you had to fill out an application to the school and fill out another to a company called PMI, which runs one of the two dorms. You also have to pay a fee of $35 for each person on the application. The Dorms: Expect annoying mandatory housing meeting emails, inspections, and issues happening in your dorms, especially with bugs. The University: The place is primarily clean except for the windows. The professors are friendly, but expect some classes to be lackluster. There isn't a cafeteria or sports outside of e-sports.
