Northwest College

Northwest College is a public two-year institution located in Powell, Wyoming, situated in the Big Horn Basin near Yellowstone National Park. The 132-acre residential campus features a blend of modern and traditional academic buildings set against the backdrop of the Absaroka Mountain Range. Founded in 1946, Northwest College provides associate degree programs with particular emphasis in agriculture, equine studies, and photographic communications, while also offering transfer pathways to four-year institutions. The college maintains on-campus housing facilities in six residence halls, serving its population of traditional and non-traditional students. Northwest College competes in Region IX of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), with its Trapper athletic teams participating in men's and women's basketball, soccer, and volleyball.
