University of Wisconsin-Platteville is a public institution established in 1866 and is set in a rural environment in Southwestern Wisconsin, approximately 70 miles southwest of Madison. The university is spread across a 820-acre campus featuring a blend of traditional and modern architectural styles, with on-campus housing options available to students. Known for its strong emphasis on engineering, agriculture, and criminal justice programs, UW-Platteville offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The institution has a moderately selective admission process.
