Located in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) operates on a compact urban campus integrated within the city's East Town neighborhood. MSOE was established in 1903 as a technical college focused on engineering disciplines and has maintained its specialized academic focus while expanding to include business, nursing, and user experience programs. The private institution maintains selective admission standards and is known particularly for its mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and industrial engineering programs. Students reside primarily in three residence halls on campus, and the university's facilities include dedicated engineering laboratories, a computational science hall, and the Grohmann Museum, which houses a significant collection of industrial art and technological artifacts. MSOE competes in NCAA Division III athletics as the Raiders, primarily in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.
