Lawrence University, located in Appleton, Wisconsin, is a private liberal arts college and conservatory of music established in 1847. Nestled on the banks of the Fox River and only a short distance from Green Bay, the campus offers a mix of historic and modern architecture with ample on-campus housing for students. Renowned for its rigorous academic environment and selective admissions process, the university is composed of the College of Liberal Arts and the Conservatory of Music, attracting students interested in a broad liberal arts education or intensive music training. Lawrence University supports a variety of popular majors, with a particularly strong reputation in music, psychology, and biology. While athletics are not the centerpiece of campus life, Lawrence fields a range of varsity teams known as the Vikings, competing in the NCAA Division III Midwest Conference.
