Cardinal Stritch University is located in the suburban Fox Point-Glendale area, approximately six miles north of downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Founded in 1937 by the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi, the institution began as St. Clare College before becoming Cardinal Stritch University in 1946. The 40-acre campus features a mix of modern and mid-century buildings surrounded by wooded areas typical of Milwaukee's North Shore region. The university maintains a focus on liberal arts education while offering specialized programs in nursing, business, education, and creative arts, with nursing and business being among its most sought-after majors.
