Whatcom Community College is located in Bellingham, Washington, approximately 90 miles north of Seattle and 50 miles south of Vancouver, British Columbia. The 72-acre campus features modern academic buildings and recreational facilities in a suburban setting near Bellingham's Cordata neighborhood. Established in 1967, WCC has evolved from a "college without walls" to a comprehensive two-year institution, offering associate degrees, professional-technical certificates, and transfer programs to four-year universities. The college maintains strong programs in nursing, computer information systems, and cybersecurity, with its cybersecurity program designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence by the National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security. Students can access on-campus student housing at Whatcom Commons, which opened in 2021 to serve both domestic and international students.
