The University of Virginia-Main Campus, located in Charlottesville, is a public institution steeped in history, being founded by Thomas Jefferson in 1819. Known for its historic Jeffersonian architecture, the University is situated near the Blue Ridge Mountains, offering a picturesque setting with a proximity to Richmond, approximately 70 miles away.
