Utah State University College of Eastern Utah (USU Eastern) operates as a comprehensive two-year regional campus within the Utah State University system in Price, Utah, located in the state's central-eastern region approximately 120 miles southeast of Salt Lake City. The campus, situated in a rural setting against the backdrop of the Book Cliffs, features both traditional classroom buildings and technical education facilities. Originally established in 1937 as Carbon College, the institution merged with Utah State University in 2010 to expand educational access in eastern Utah. USU Eastern maintains an open enrollment policy and offers associate degrees, certificates, and selected bachelor's degree programs, with particular emphasis on technical and vocational education, including strong programs in welding, automotive technology, and nursing.
