Never let your school get in the way of your education! Texas Southern University is a great school if you are dedicated. The key to success here is to find the right professor for you and become their apprentice. Don't expect to get everything in the classroom because that simply won't happen. I encourage all students to really evaluate the area of study they have in mind and find a professor from that department early on that can help guide them through the process of how to be successful. When I started I was just trying to get my BS in Computer Science and bounce, lol. But after building strong relationships with my department, college and different professors around the university I truly understand why TSU is a gem and has delivered some of the best minds in the African American community.

Ghetto! In the hood, you may get robbed walking to class. You can never get ahold of anyone on the phone. They don't reply to emails. The teachers don't teach they just talk and expect you to understand without examples. The housing is roach infested and to expensive for what you get. If something is broken they half way fix it.
