Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) is located in Laredo, Texas, along the U.S.-Mexico border, approximately 150 miles south of San Antonio. Established in 1970 as a branch of Texas A&I University and joining the Texas A&M University System in 1989, TAMIU operates as a public Hispanic-serving institution offering undergraduate and graduate programs.
