Hardin-Simmons University (HSU), established in 1891, is a private Baptist institution located in Abilene, Texas, a moderate-sized city approximately 150 miles west of Fort Worth. The university's 220-acre campus is distinguished by its blend of historic structures and modern facilities, creating a vibrant educational environment. HSU offers a wide spectrum of undergraduate and graduate programs, with notable academic strengths in education, theology, and health sciences. While HSU maintains a selective admissions process, it is known for being moderately accessible to a broad range of students. The university provides on-campus housing options to foster an immersive educational experience.
