Concordia University Texas occupies a 389-acre campus in northwest Austin, situated within a nature preserve overlooking Lake Travis. Originally established in 1926 as Lutheran Concordia College of Texas in downtown Austin, the institution relocated to its current location in 2008, featuring modern academic buildings and residential facilities integrated into the Hill Country landscape. A private Lutheran university, Concordia offers undergraduate and graduate programs with particular emphasis in nursing, business, education, and computer science. The campus includes traditional residence halls and modern apartment-style housing for students, with the majority of first-year students living on campus. As an NCAA Division III institution, Concordia's athletic teams, known as the Tornados, compete in the American Southwest Conference.
