Collin County Community College District

Collin College is a public community college system serving Collin County from its main campus in McKinney, Texas, approximately 30 miles north of Dallas. The McKinney campus, one of seven locations in the district, features contemporary academic buildings and training facilities spread across a suburban setting. Established in 1985, the institution has expanded to offer more than 100 degree and certificate programs, with notable strengths in nursing, business, information technology, and allied health fields. The college maintains partnerships with several four-year universities for transfer pathways and operates multiple technical training centers, including a healthcare simulation center. While primarily a commuter institution, the college opened its first residential facility at its Plano campus in 2021 and competes in NJCAA Division I athletics.
