Union University, chartered in 1823 and affiliated with the Tennessee Baptist Convention, is a private, evangelical Christian, liberal arts university situated in Jackson, Tennessee, approximately 80 miles northeast of Memphis. The institution is recognized for its solid academic programs, including pharmacy, nursing, and education, which are among the popular majors at the university. Union's suburban campus is characterized by a blend of contemporary and traditional architecture, with residential facilities that provide on-campus housing options for students. Union University maintains a moderately selective admissions process and is comprised of multiple colleges and schools, including the College of Arts and Sciences, the McAfee School of Business Administration, and the School of Theology and Missions, among others, all dedicated to integrating top-tier academics with Christian faith.
