Pellissippi State Community College operates its main campus in Knoxville, Tennessee, with four additional satellite locations throughout Knox and Blount counties. Established in 1974 as State Technical Institute at Knoxville before becoming Pellissippi State in 1988, the college serves as the largest community college in East Tennessee.
