Bryan College is a private Christian liberal arts institution situated in Dayton, Tennessee, approximately 35 miles north of Chattanooga in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Founded in 1930, the college was established to commemorate the Scopes "Monkey" Trial defense attorney William Jennings Bryan and continues to maintain its evangelical Christian mission. The 128-acre hillside campus features Georgian-style architecture and serves primarily residential students, with most undergraduates living in one of the college's residence halls. Bryan College offers undergraduate programs with particular emphasis in business, education, and Christian studies, while maintaining a core liberal arts curriculum. The college competes in the NAIA Division II as the Bryan Lions, primarily participating in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
