Sinte Gleska University, located in Mission, South Dakota on the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation, is one of the country's oldest tribal colleges and universities. Founded in 1971 and named after the Sicangu Lakota leader Chief Spotted Tail, the university serves primarily Native American students while remaining open to all students.
