URI was the best decision I could've made for myself. I could go on and on but one thing that helped me out a lot is that URI is AMAZING with taking AP and college credits from high school so much I was able to switch my major and graduate a year early. Also you cannot beat the area it is in. Narragansett and south county is one of the most beautiful places and me and many of my friends had beach front houses.

Academically, it's a strong school, but it's in the middle of nowhere. Narragansett and Newport are not far, but if you don't have transportation, it's not good Also, socially, the greek scene is a must if you want things to do on campus. If that's not your thing, you might want to reconsider. Dorms are nice, but many students are jammed into unwanted triples in a double room. Be mindful of this because it happens a lot.

It was a great experience and gorgeous campus. I attended in 1990 and had excellent professors, some small classes and made a lot of friends.

Graduated in 1996 as a commuting student. I was in my 3o's when I went to URI in Civil Engineering. I have a great job and URI made it possible!

Not worth the money at all.

For me, it was just the 'right size' -- not too big, not too small. Beautiful campus. The facilities, students and professors are very good, overall. In 4 years, I matured, developed and graduated ready to make my way in the world. 15 years later, I'm in the middle of a very successful & interesting career and am a dedicated father & husband -- I thank URI for preparing me.
