The Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) operates its main campus in Warwick, located 10 miles south of Providence, with additional locations in Lincoln, Providence, Newport, and Westerly. The Warwick campus, established in 1972 as part of Rhode Island's public higher education system, consists of modern concrete and glass buildings connected by enclosed walkways on a suburban 205-acre site. As Rhode Island's only public community college, CCRI offers associate degrees and certificates across fields including nursing, business, engineering, and liberal arts, with nursing and health sciences programs being particularly prominent. The Warwick campus provides essential student facilities including a library, computer labs, and athletic facilities, while serving primarily as a commuter institution with no on-campus housing. The college's athletic program competes in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), fielding teams in basketball, baseball, and soccer.
