Lehigh did not promote diversity when I attended. Not sure if things have changed since then. I did not fit the mold of the model student, and the faculty did not embrace the fact that my hair was long. I had a discussion with the dean at the time (I was being singled out by the football team as a target), and he absolutely did not care. It was a party school that was out of control, including rapes in fraternities. The ugliest moment I have ever witnessed was at a Lehigh-Lafayette football game where frat boys were taking down goal posts and brutally swinging the posts at competing frats trying to steal their prize. My life was much better after a transfer.

Lehigh is without question the finest university a decent, clean, moral, intelligent, hard-working American student could attend. The mission is Education with a cap "E." If you come to apply yourself and master a subject and make a success of your life, you'll find unparalleled opportunity. On the other hand, if you come to whine, proselytize and make excuses, you'll soon find you're in the wrong place: your kind is not tolerated and we don't want you nastying up our institutional reputation. A superb institution for high achievers who wish to associate with kindred winners and a heritage of true excellence.

I really enjoy Lehigh. It has a beautiful campus and a really cool view of Bethlehem from one of the dining halls. The student body is also very chill. I always feel a strong sense of community. All of my professors have been great and are passionate about teaching. Like at most schools, some classes have easier professors and you will find yourself competing for them. Greek life is very big here. If you are not into that however, there are tons of clubs and events so you won't be missing out. Hope to see you there!

The campus is lacking in diversity... the atmosphere is stuffy and more conservative than I anticipated. Moreover, partying and Greek life run the entire campus. Depending on your major, some classes are harder than Ivies, while others are pathetically easy. Racism, sexism, and other social issues are a plague across the campus and the school is very heteronormative and narrow-minded. Frats are breeding grounds for sexual assault. The university is trying to cut back on Greek life and the students are outraged because somehow it is their right to live in a mansion w/ a chef, abuse people, destroy property and the surrounding town, and do copious illegal things.

School has a lack of diversity. Many people change who they are to conform to the Lehigh stereotype: Greek, popular, white, work hard play hard. If you have no desire to be any of these things, do not attend. Also, if you are any major in Arts and Sciences besides anything Bio or Chem related, you are screwed because the classes are not as rigorous as classes in the other schools (ie engineering or business). You'd be better off attending somewhere better or cheaper. Lastly, the campus culture condones racism and sexism. The admin claims they are trying to stop it, but they ultimately let Greek life do as they please and continue to promote this culture.
