Mt Hood Community College (MHCC), located in Gresham, Oregon, serves students in the eastern Multnomah County region across a 212-acre main campus characterized by Pacific Northwest landscape elements and contemporary building designs. Founded in 1966, the college is situated approximately 17 miles east of downtown Portland, offering a scenic backdrop of Mt. Hood and a short commute to urban amenities. MHCC provides a comprehensive educational experience with a variety of associate degrees, certificates, and transfer programs, featuring popular majors such as Nursing, Automotive Technology, and Business. The college operates with an open-door admissions policy, welcoming a diverse student body without a highly selective application process. While MHCC emphasizes commuter convenience, it does not maintain on-campus student housing. Academically, MHCC is known for its career and technical education programs, including its Integrated Media division. Although not primarily recognized for its athletic programs, MHCC fields competitive teams in various sports, known collectively as the Saints.
