Corban University sits on a forested 142-acre hillside campus in Salem, Oregon, approximately one hour south of Portland. Originally established in 1935 as Phoenix Bible Institute in Arizona, the private Christian university relocated to Oregon in 1969 and adopted its current name in 2005. The university maintains its Baptist heritage while operating as a non-denominational Christian institution offering undergraduate and graduate programs across five schools, with particular emphasis in ministry, education, and business programs. Students are required to live on campus through their junior year in one of six residence halls, unless they reside locally with family. The university competes in the NAIA Cascade Collegiate Conference, fielding teams in sports including baseball, basketball, soccer, and volleyball.
