The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO), nestled in Chickasha, Oklahoma, just about an hour's drive southwest of Oklahoma City, is a public liberal arts university that distinguishes itself through a unique interdisciplinary curriculum. Founded in 1908, USAO is recognized as the state?s only public liberal arts college, offering students a wide spectrum of study within a close-knit campus environment. The institution fosters an academic profile with an emphasis on the liberal arts and sciences, underscored by its core curriculum that integrates the arts and sciences. The campus is characterized by its historic architecture, including buildings like Troutt Hall, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
