Located in Pepper Pike, Ohio, approximately 13 miles east of Cleveland, Ursuline College is a private Catholic liberal arts institution founded by the Ursuline Sisters in 1871, making it one of the first women's colleges in the United States. The 112-acre suburban campus features a mix of historic and modern buildings, including the Matthew J. O'Brien Athletic Center and the Sister Diana Stano Athletic Center. While the college maintains its heritage as a women's college at the undergraduate level, it accepts students of all genders in its graduate programs. Ursuline specializes in nursing, education, and fashion design programs, with nursing being its largest academic division. The college provides traditional dormitory housing in three residence halls and competes in NCAA Division II athletics as the Arrows, primarily in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
