The University of Dayton, established in 1850 by the Society of Mary, is a private Roman Catholic research university located in Dayton, Ohio, with a picturesque campus known for its distinctive Marianist architecture. Situated less than three miles from downtown Dayton, the institution offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs, with notable emphasis on research and experiential learning in fields such as engineering, business, and education.
