Malone University, located in Canton, Ohio, operates as a private Christian liberal arts institution situated on a suburban campus approximately 60 miles south of Cleveland. Founded in 1892 as Cleveland Bible College by Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) members Walter and Emma Malone, the university relocated to its current 96-acre campus in Canton in 1957. The institution maintains its evangelical Christian heritage while offering undergraduate and graduate programs across four academic schools, with notable strengths in education, nursing, business, and traditional liberal arts disciplines. Malone's traditional undergraduate students are required to live on campus in one of four residence halls for their first two years, and the university competes in NCAA Division II athletics as the Pioneers in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
