Professors and classes are great, other then that a horrible experience. They promote it as a diverse setting; It's not. Geographically diverse, yes. Culturally, no. Unless you're coming from an East Coast Prep School or have Legacy ties forget it, You're a second class citizen. Requirements for Legacy's are lower than the standards for incoming freshman. If you're an athlete, Please be careful of their Predatory recruiting. The coach's will talk to you but not your parents. They will make promises and tell you what you want to hear to get you to commit ED. I specifically asked if I should get my parents involved and the coach said, "no, I understand what you're asking. Here is my plan for you", The minute the coach said no we don't need to get your parents involved he went from Recruiting me to Preying on me. When brought to the attention of the President and Athletic Director, their response was nothing was done wrong. I would consider other Universities.

I graduated from Denison in 1992, and now have 1 in college and another looking. Makes my perspective unusual. I have so many life long friends from Denison. If you see someone on the street, in your profession, in your neighborhood, you want to reach out and connect. It was difficult while I was there, many kids were from the East, and I was a Minnesota girl. But the lifelong connections mean WAY more, 26 years later.

Denison is all about relationships with faculty and opportunities to excel. Classes are small and each student has a personal academic advisor. This is a great atmosphere for students who want to grow academically and intellectually. Professors are accessible and the curriculum is challenging. Denison is tanked in the top 100 on the Forbes list. The info for Denison on this site is out of date.
