Bowling Green State University Firelands

Bowling Green State University Firelands, a regional branch campus of BGSU, is located in Huron, Ohio, along the shores of Lake Erie and approximately 60 miles west of Cleveland. The commuter campus consists of three academic buildings situated on 216 acres of land, combining both modern educational facilities and preserved natural areas. Established in 1968, BGSU Firelands serves as the primary higher education access point for Erie, Huron, and Ottawa counties, offering associate degrees and select bachelor's degree completion programs. The campus specializes in business administration, allied health programs, and technical education, with many students transferring to the main BGSU campus to complete four-year degrees. As a non-residential campus, BGSU Firelands primarily serves local students who commute to classes, maintaining smaller class sizes and focused academic support services.
