This is purely to make up for the all ones review (I think they thought that 1/5 is best) but I am a prospective student.

I went to Pfeiffer long time ago ('66) after spending 2 yrs at Brevard College, which was a 2-yr school at the time. While I feel somewhat ashamed that I "used" Pfeiffer (which admitted me despite my low GPA from Brevard) as a stepping stone to gain admittance to Furman where I later graduated (thank the lawdy!), I experienced certainly more positive social vibes than I later did at Furman. Basically, what I was looking for was merely the bachelor's degree which I did earn at Furman, but at great cost to my self-image and happiness. I hate reading the horrible and negative reviews of people who went to Pfeiffer. What did they expect from a small, rural college? I found the campus friendly and beautiful (despite a freight train track running right through campus) and it wasn't long before I'd made some nice pals of both sexes. My profs were helpful and astute, and I feel I have nothing to complain about from my year at Pfeiffer. It is a small, friendly school with no hoopla.
