Rating 5 out of 5

If you want to go deeper in your faith and build relationships that last while learning valuable life lessons that will stick with you after college, Montreat is a dream come true. Montreat really is Christ centered, and focuses on developing students as whole people...we have so much more value than what we end up doing for a living! But if you hate to work hard and love to party, you probably won't like it at all.

Such an incredible college experience. I didn't want a Christian college at first but Montreat was so respectful of our worldviews and beliefs, even if they didn't line up with some of the professor's. Challenging academics, awesome athletics, a ton of parties almost every Friday and Saturday (even if they have to be secret). I legitimately wish I had failed more so I had to stay there longer.

If your looking to study and pray, and nothing more this is the place for you. Mandatory chapel or community service was a negitive. I hated my time here. There is literally nothing to do. Being a student athlete at this school was even worse. Winning isn't even on the radar for most coaches, as they spend most of their time trying to make your life more about following Jesus, rather than athletic success. Zero parties at this school. The few that did take place ended up with the Black mountain police showing up in full riot gear to bust the 15 or so college kids at these "parties"
