Haywood Community College

Haywood Community College sits on a 120-acre wooded campus in the mountains of western North Carolina, located in Clyde and serving the greater Haywood County region approximately 25 miles west of Asheville. The two-year public institution, established in 1965, operates as part of the North Carolina Community College System and offers associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates across both technical and college transfer programs. The college is particularly known for its Natural Resources programs, including Forest Management Technology and Fish and Wildlife Management Technology, as well as its Professional Crafts program featuring wood, clay, fiber, and jewelry disciplines. The campus includes specialized facilities such as the Regional High Technology Center and a Professional Crafts Building that houses studios and galleries for student work.
