Guilford College, situated on a wooded 350-acre campus in Greensboro, North Carolina, was founded by the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in 1837. The campus features historic brick buildings and centuries-old oak trees, with several structures listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This private liberal arts college maintains small class sizes and emphasizes hands-on learning experiences, with notable programs in criminal justice, business, psychology, and environmental studies. While maintaining its Quaker heritage, Guilford welcomes students of all backgrounds and requires all first- and second-year students to live in one of its seven residential halls. The college competes in NCAA Division III athletics as the Quakers, participating in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
