Edgecombe Community College

Edgecombe Community College operates across two primary campuses in eastern North Carolina, with its main location in Tarboro and a second campus in Rocky Mount. The Tarboro campus, situated in a rural setting approximately 75 miles east of Raleigh, features modern classroom buildings and technical training facilities spread across 120 acres. Established in 1967 as an industrial education center, ECC has evolved into a comprehensive two-year college offering associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates in career-focused programs. The institution maintains strong programs in healthcare, including nursing and surgical technology, as well as business administration, industrial technologies, and college transfer pathways. Students primarily commute to campus, though the college partners with local housing resources to assist those requiring accommodation during their studies.

Edgecombe Community College is designated as a Predominantly Black Institution (PBI) and receives federal grants supporting the school's efforts to serve low and middle-income Black Americans.
