Wagner College occupies a hilltop campus on Staten Island, offering views of New York Harbor, the Verrazano Bridge, and the Manhattan skyline. Located in the residential Grymes Hill neighborhood, the 105-acre campus combines collegiate Gothic architecture with modern facilities, situated just five miles from downtown Manhattan. Founded in 1883 as a Lutheran-affiliated institution, Wagner maintains its private liberal arts tradition while operating as an independent college. The college is known for its undergraduate programs in nursing, theater, business administration, and its experiential learning curriculum called the Wagner Plan, which integrates practical internships with academic studies. Students are required to live on campus for their first three years, with housing provided in six residential halls across the hillside campus.
