The campus spans 555 acres of rural landscape along the Grasse River, featuring a mix of traditional and modern academic buildings. Founded in 1906 as the School of Agriculture at St. Lawrence University, SUNY Canton evolved into a technical college and joined the State University of New York system in 1948.
