Metropolitan College of New York

Metropolitan College of New York (MCNY) operates from two urban campuses in Manhattan and the Bronx, with its main facility located in Lower Manhattan's Financial District. Founded in 1964 by educational pioneer Audrey Cohen as the Women's Talent Corps, the college was established to provide educational opportunities for working adults through its unique Purpose-Centered Education model. MCNY offers associate, bachelor's, and master's degree programs focused primarily on business, human services, healthcare management, emergency management, and public administration. The institution maintains small class sizes and follows an accelerated semester format called Purpose-Centered Education, where students complete full-time studies while maintaining professional employment. As a commuter campus in an urban setting, MCNY does not provide student housing, instead serving predominantly local students from the New York City metropolitan area.

Metropolitan College of New York is designated as a Predominantly Black Institution (PBI) and receives federal grants supporting the school's efforts to serve low and middle-income Black Americans.
