CUNY Lehman College, a public institution located in the Bronx, New York, is a senior liberal arts college within the City University of New York (CUNY) system and lies within close proximity to the urban dynamism of Manhattan. Established in 1968 after branching off from Hunter College, Lehman occupies a 37-acre campus featuring a mix of modern and historical architecture, including the notable neoclassical Lehman Hall. The college offers a broad array of undergraduate and graduate programs, with particular emphasis on education, nursing, and the performing arts. The diverse academic environment at Lehman is less selective, aiming to provide accessibility to higher education for a wide range of students. The college does not provide on-campus housing, reflecting its commuter school status. While Lehman is not primarily recognized for its athletics, it does field a variety of teams known as the Lightning, participating in the NCAA Division III as a part of the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC).

In the most recent statistical year 22,455 prospective students applied, and 12,419 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 1,486 enrolled in the school.  7,587 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 5,428 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $6,930 plus fees of $480. Lehman is ranked 646 nationally in the CollegeSimply.com 2024 U.S. Colleges Ranking.
