SUNY Broome Community College occupies a 162-acre suburban campus in the town of Dickinson, adjacent to Binghamton in New York's Southern Tier region. Established in 1946 as the New York State Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences at Binghamton, the college serves as a primary educational hub for Broome County and surrounding communities. The campus features a mix of modern and mid-century buildings, including the recently renovated Calice Advanced Manufacturing Center and the Natural Science Center. SUNY Broome offers associate degrees and certificates across five academic divisions, with notable programs in health sciences, business, engineering technologies, and criminal justice. Students can take advantage of on-campus housing in the Student Village residence hall, which opened in 2014, while the college maintains articulation agreements with numerous four-year institutions for transfer pathways.
