New Mexico State University-Alamogordo (NMSU-A) is a public community college located in Alamogordo, New Mexico, approximately 90 miles north of El Paso, Texas. The institution, founded in 1958, is a branch of the New Mexico State University system. NMSU-A offers a variety of associate degrees and certificate programs, with notable emphasis on career and technical education as well as transfer-oriented programs intended for students planning to continue their education at four-year universities. Academic offerings in fields such as Information Technology and Allied Health are among the popular choices for students.
