Ramapo College of New Jersey, established in 1969, is a public liberal arts college situated in Mahwah, New Jersey, approximately 30 miles northwest of New York City. The suburban campus is recognized for its contemporary architecture and features residential facilities that accommodate a significant portion of the student body. With an emphasis on small class sizes and a student-to-faculty ratio that fosters personalized learning, Ramapo offers undergraduates a selection of more than 40 academic programs, with business, social sciences, and communications among the most popular. The college operates on a rolling admissions policy and is moderately selective. While Ramapo does not garner widespread attention for its athletic programs, it competes in NCAA Division III as the Roadrunners.
