Test Submission Requirements
Kean University is test-optional for first-year applicants in the 2026-27 admissions cycle. Students with a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher and at least 16 college-preparatory courses may apply without SAT or ACT scores. If you omit scores, Kean requires two letters of recommendation, a one-to-two-page personal essay, and a list of activities or work experience. Applicants who send scores should order an official report (SAT 2517); Kean superscores SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math and uses the highest ACT composite. Homeschooled students, online high school students, and GED recipients must submit test scores.
