Centenary University is a private liberal arts institution located in Hackettstown, New Jersey, situated in the Skylands Region approximately 50 miles west of New York City. Founded in 1867 as a women's college, Centenary became coeducational in 1988 and currently operates as a comprehensive university. The 42-acre suburban campus features a mix of historic and modern buildings, centered around its traditional academic quad. The university is particularly known for its equine studies program, which includes extensive equestrian facilities, along with business administration and performing arts programs.
