Western Nevada College (WNC) is a public, comprehensive community college located in Carson City, Nevada, with additional campuses in Fallon, Minden, and multiple instructional sites. Founded in 1971, WNC offers associate degrees, certificate programs, and a small number of bachelor's degree programs, with popular academic paths including nursing, business, and applied industrial technology. While the college does not provide on-campus housing, it facilitates a suburban atmosphere conducive to study within the proximity of the Sierra Nevada mountain range and about 30 miles south of Reno. The college is characterized by an open admissions policy, catering to a diverse student body with a range of academic backgrounds. WNC is not specifically known for its athletic programs, thus reflecting its focus on academic and technical training.

Western Nevada College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  1,170 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 2,412 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $3,383 plus fees of $455.
